I am a very visual person, with a wild imagination. Growing up I was very introverted, not so much in the asocial way, but more in the way that I was constantly daydreaming, coming up with stories, characters, etc. I never attempted to manifest those ideas till about 9th grade when I began to teach myself how to draw. Doodling Looney Tunes characters next to my notes during lectures was a way to help me focus on the lesson and develop my drawing skills simultaneously. After I began to draw things with reference pretty accurately, I started taking art classes. Once I got into college, I knew that 3D was really the direction I wanted to go. After 2.5 years of fine art classes in California, I moved out to Indiana to finish my degree in 3d animation. Since then, I've worked for about 5-7 local companies doing 3D/2D. My goal is to one day get to Pixar, and be involved with character design/modeling.
Aside from my career:
I love soccer. I love the water. I am a girl scout all the way from daisies to seniors. I am a Christian. I have a huge appreciation for the Japanese culture, language, martial arts, anime. I love video games, especially the ones that immerse you in a story. I play piano by ear, can't really make anything up on the spot, but over time, can learn pieces pretty well. I have perfect pitch, and a decent singing voice. I love to socialize, bounce ideas off of people, and work in a team. I'm very excited to now work for a company where I can do just that.

What I bring to the Sauce?
Determination. I will always see a project to its completion. I am a bit of a perfectionist, and love focusing on the detail and realism of a project, but I also know when to switch that off, and get the job done. I love to problem solve, research different techniques, and find which would be the best to achieve a goal.

I was forever scarred when …
an earthquake hit California 1994. I was in fourth grade at the time, already having a small fear of earthquakes. At 4:30 am, I was violently woken from my sleep as I was being bounced and tossed around on my bed. At some point I fell half way out of bed, with my head hanging over the edge, and as I was still being bounced around partially upside down, my dresser next to my bed fell over on top of me, pinning me helpless in that position. It only lasted 30 sec. but it was the scariest moment of my life.
